Award winning interior decorator Nicole Fuller crafts a gem of an apartment for jewelry designer Susan Foster
New York Cottages and Gardens
The mandate for this historic Roth & Sons 1949 5th Avenue residence overlooking Central Park was to create a jewel box in the sky. One of Nicole Fuller’s inspirations for the project paid homage to the Art Deco jewelry collection designed by her client, Susan Foster. Throughout the home, the mouldings, trims, and doors were painted in a high gloss black lacquer from Fine Paints of Europe, complemented by a 24-carat gold leaf pinstripe in the Great Room.

The walls in the living room are wrapped in a soft cream suede wallpaper from Phillip Jefferies while a statement dining room painted in an emerald green high gloss lacquer from Fine Paints of Europe with monochrome wall, doors, trim and mouldings complete the design. With a custom hand painted Flamingo scenic wallpaper by de Gournay, the master bedroom is whimsical, romantic, and feminine.
Nicole is a brilliant interior designer and a dear friend. Her passion for finding the
hidden gems of the world is evident in her work.
