Designing for a client who is an investor and art collector moving into his first home, Nicole Fuller sought to create a space that feels both luxurious and comfortable. Nicole and client Ryan Lee collaborated to select new art pieces and incorporate his expanding art collection into his home. While collectible design was foregrounded in their conversations, Lee, who loves to cook and whose parents often visit, wanted to be able to have people over without “feeling like I live in a museum.”

The result is a contemporary, neutral home to balance the graphic strength of the artwork throughout. The art collection weaves a tapestry of personal narratives, emphasizing the client’s aim to spotlight underrepresented artist demographics.
